Well, I just got back from Circuit City, and let me tell you, those guy working there are clueless. First of all, I went to the games section and saw a big "We are tempararily out of Playstation 3's" sign (not too suprising), and next to it, saw a little Wii section. It had games and fake boxes for the system. I figured that the games were there because several systems have the games released before the actual system. So I grabbed one of the dozen copies of Zelda. Then I asked these two dudes about Wii (when the line starts, how many units, etc.). Those guys knew nothing. They just said that they would be first-come, first-serve, and that they were either getting 9 or 13 units. Now that is complete bullcrap, as there were 103 at my Best Buy, AND if they only had 9-13, they would have more copies of Zelda than Wii consoles.
To make matters worse, as I tried to pay for Zelda, the guy at the checkout informed me after scanning it that their computer won't let them sell it until Sunday. I was considering throwing $50 at him and running away. Then he got pissed off at the two guys who had loaded the games out into the store.
My current Wii launch agenda:
1. Arrive at Meijer at ~9pm (I know it's a bit late, but it's the earliest I could convince the parents.) on Saturday with two friends, two DS's and one commandeered DS taken from my sister.
2. Get in line if there are less than 24 people in line already; if there are, leave and go to Target or Best Buy at 6am on Sunday.
3. Once in line, play DS with my buddies.
4. Buy Wii's.
5. Go wii wii wii, all the way home.
