I wasn't sure if that was sarcastic, a rhetorical question, or serious, but I figured I'd post anyway.

The  was kind of hinting, though.

And your double post explanation did not confuse me at all (since forums are pretty hard to decipher for the whole sarcasm thing: that wasn't sarcasm, although you could simply edit the first post.)

Alright, since my efforts to get the caps didn't go so well, I've decided I'll just lengthen the ones that still have atleast some post, and I purchased a few more that someone desoldered from another motherboard.

I really want to speed this project up, so I'll spend some time this weekend, doing some work.

Now I'm looking for a cooling solution. Was thinking about water cooling, but I think I'll try and find an efficient air cooling set up.

Dammm, I got the caps today, but for some reason the guy only sent 4 even though I asked for a total of 15-20. I guess it's not much of a big deal though, since I ordered about $180 of items from him, and he threw them in for free (instead of the $5 he asked for at the start). But now, The caps look similar (though slightly different in size), but are 2200uf 6.3v capacitors instead of the 800uf I asked for. I guess the guy just looked at the pic, and didn't read my post. I'm assuming these are off an older board, and my board is a falcon.

Anyways, would the capacitors still fully work?

I can't imagine if they're a different uf. If you want to order a lot, look on newark.com (they charge $20 handling fee for each order of capacitors).

I wouldn't try it, since they are a different uf.
You might really screw it up, render it useless, but it certainly won't work with that big of a difference.

Like I said, those are just power supply smoothing caps. They should work fine. :D

Really?
Hmm... when I go on tangents I must not really pay much attention.
You might as well try it, because (most likely) it's not going to harm the thing, and at the best it might work!
But, you still need all of the capacitors to get the thing to work, so you can't try it out until then.

I'll see how many I can put together in total. I still got some of the 800uf ones that can work, and a few with broken posts, but I will still try and extend them. Hopefully I'll get some more work done this weekend, but I'm going to be quite busy again.

Extended all the caps with 30awg wire, but got 3 red rings. I'm 99% sure they are correctly placed with negative and positive posts on the right sides. Well there is still that 1% as I was really tired and did it at 4am. I probably wont be able to do any more troubleshooting until tomorrow at the earliest. I'll be home next week, so I'll have some time when I'm not going out, that I can use to work on it.
