I got updates !

I'm now bondoing the case, with the psonse case, and it's drying.

I found a dvd player batery pack (11.1v 2400mAh) and tested my DCp with it. With 2 vmus, the sound at half(using the speakers)and the brightness at 3/4, It last 70 minutes.

I think it's pretty good. And since my batery pack is really small (about 3AA big) I migh put 2 of this in my portable (for 140 minutes)

But I think 70 mins is pretty fair for a DCp.

Thank you !

Wow, not a bad battery setup, especially for the size. How much did they cost?

I didn't bought them, they came with a dvd-player, I have absolutely NO ideas about how they'd cost alone, but it's Li-ion 11.1v 2400mAh so it migh be fairly expensive.

About the case... I HOPE it'll be cool, but I can't swear:P it'll be my first case I made and so far it's begining well, I got a vacum formed base + psone screen "bondoed" I'll now putty the controller case parts, then it'll be near 90% done.

I already got a 100% working dc portable GUT, so beside the case, everything is done.

Thank you !

Well, about the case, I'm not bad, but not that good with bondo, and the plastic is thin, so it might be harder to do something uber-cool-looking. But I beleive to have a good start.

I can TAKE pictures, but I can't send them to you since my power supply exploded and I'm using a pc where I work. A new psu is ordered and I could send some pics soon.

I'm also thinking about a internal/external controller 1 input (with a switch)
I think a 3pole 2way switch on the ground of the controller would do the job ...

Thank you all for the great comments !

*react to poking*

Need money and time, and broke another Dreamcast trying to create a selfboot version of the *DC*Loop*Checker [confidential] disc, once I ran it, my dc died because it was region changer modded and the program actually wrote something wrong in the flash, giving it a nice black swirl and stop making it boots anything.

So I'm just waiting to received a mobo to continue.

It pretty advance now.

No, no, region changer works just fine on my dc (region changer 1.5 btw) and I can put it to pal ntsc usa/jap. I know a 1.6 or 1.7 version copulate it up also, but my dc died, because the program I ran on it did a "test" on the flash, and since I'vbe done the region changer hack on it, it wrote things in the flash, thus making it unbootable.

Only the wire connected to the 12v killed my dc, not the region changer software.

BTW I ordered a new mobo and should receive it soon.

I'll keep posting progress in this thread.

NEWS !

I just rewired everything to yet another motherboard and it works fine, I will not put a reset button finally, since it wont be really usefull ... and no region changer neither, to avoid killing it again ...

I worked a bit on the case too, adding the ABXY buttons holes (analog and dpad already are there) I'll put the start button hole and speaker holes soon too, I just need more time ...

I worked like a dog all the summer and now I'm stuDIEing Chemistry, Biology, Advanced Mathematics, Philosophy, French and English in College so I'm kinda busy from Monday 6:00 AM until Sunday 11:00 PM. So this is why it has been so long ...

But it's alive !
