THIS seems to be the cheapest thing I could find; has anyone ever bought that LED-combo-thing from RS?

I managed to screw top-half off the controller onto the case (I used cardboard to keep the buttons from being limp). I think I'll do w/o the shoulder buttons, since most games (except maybe Star Fox) don't use them or use them for a very small purpose.
I burnt out my 12V AC Adapter (left it plugged in too long & the wires shorted), so today I used a 9V 350mA one. Everything worked w/ it, but the SNES (plugged into a CRT) has a scrolling green bar when playing Star Fox. (I'm guessing the SFX chip isn't getting enough juice?) Does anyone know what the problem is?

OK, I (finally) bought a soldering iron! (but sadly I was $2 short of a desoldering bulb), so I'm back in business!
Here's a list of things I plan to do next once I get the time (maybe Monday)
-Desolder Exp. connector
-Desolder RF Modulator & Power connector
-cut down board
More to come!
