They cancelled it almost three years ago.
It was on at 10:30 for the past couple of months, so it was being re-run. But, no new episodes. 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM was the toonami block. 11:00 PM - 6:00 AM is the adult swim block.
Kenshin = cancelled 3 years ago while it was on 6:30 PM weekdays. The continued to just air the already showed episodes.
Kenshin = not on adult swim.

Case Closed is on at 5:30 AM EST.
Rurouni Kenshin had a saturday night showing (when Toonami was first relocated to the saturday night slot) in which some new episodes were shown (the ones with Kenshin's master and whatever, i didnt watch it much), then it was taken off, and during this past fall/winter sometime it was reshown from the start for like a month.

They didn't go on to the last arc (season). Only about 5 new episodes.

They should show more good anime on CN....and not just Adult Swim..on the network in general.
Actually, wouldntit be a cool idea to have one day out of every week in the summer (or all year, whatever, I'm not picky
) to be "Anime Day" where all day long they play anime non-stop. Licence a couple of cool older shows and stuff, and put em on all day. That would be great...

Re: Anime
There most certainly is a middle ground. Giant Robots and tentacle scenes rock...you can keep the rest of it though...Total Eclipse of the Toe wrote:Either you like it or don't there is usually no middle ground.

LOL someone else said the exact same word phrasing:

I retract my earlier statement about there being no middle ground. There certainly IS a middle ground-personally I myself am in the "love it" categorysoundwave wrote:There most certainly is a middle ground

Seriously, moving Toonami to the saturday slot totally killed CN. It brought the non-adultswim anime time from like 12 hours or something down to a horrid 3, if that (this doesnt include Duel Masters and that other kiddy crap).

on a related-unrelated note, has any of you played Final Fantasy VII/seen Azumanga Daioh? I saw a picture somewhere showing the AzuDai characters as FFVII characters...it was pretty funny...
What anime series do you guys speculate should/will be airing on CN (or some other channel) in the near future. You know we'll see the sign of the apocalypse when a "serious" anime series is on a "big" network like ABC of Fox....LOL, that won't happen...but it would be nice, to finally see anime crawl out of the "OMG nerd!!!11111111one" foxhole that everyone thinks anime-watchers are in. Yet another one of the stereotypes given...

Sometime in the future they're gonna probably gonna have a Hyper Police anime, but it may be a while. And part of me wishes they would show Mahoromatic, but I already know that they would censor out most of the show (not that they have a choice, unless they air it on one of the adult cable channels).
