so many resistors!

does anyone have the answer to that? if not, could someone give me a pic of how much distortion would get if i used 3v?

ask RPGTNick. I think he used 3v.

Sorry, no internet access over the weekend. Yes, "uf" is microfarad. Since the "u" should actually be the greek letter mu, I prefer to write it out to avoid confusion (unless someone can tell me how to do a mu in html).

so if I use IR120633 what kind of capacitator would i need? (electrolytic right?)

Use a 10 microfarad tantalum capacitor from AVX. Here is a shot from the data sheet for the IRU1206. It is pretty much self explanatory. (The Vin one is optional, but might as well put it in as the capacitors are typically less than 50 cents apiece.)

AVX is a company. Go to Digikey and put this in the search box:

capacitor AND AVX AND Tantalum AND 10uf

There are about 40 caps that meet this criterion.

They are all AVX, 10 microfarad and Tantalum. I would pick one that is rated for 10V or higher and +/- 10% tolerance just to be safe.

sorry if i'm being a nuisance with all these questions, but does polarity matter with capacitors?

Yes, that is ground.

Here is a list of circuit schematic symbols to peruse at your leisure.

daguuy, don't worry about asking questions, we all got to learn sometime.

Polarity sometimes matters with capacitors. If they are electrolytic or tantalum they are usually polarized. Others, like ceramic, are generally not. If they are polarized, there will usually be either a line or a +/- sign printed on them (the line almost always means anode which translates into "connect me to the positive end").

so do all of these 40 work? But what kind of voltage rating and tolerance?
