Of course it didn't. It's a brick-shape. There aren't many places that absorb more inpact than others, and it is much less likely to break than modern controllers with complex shapes. ^^bicostp wrote:That reminds me of the old egg-dropping test, if you are talking about case durability. (build something out of a styrofoam cup, bubble wrap, and a Twinkee that will let an egg survive a 2 story drop. You know, that kind of thing.)
As for chucking it at a wall, it would probably get dented, if it's really aluminum (which is harder than sheetrock.)
I remember one of my friends in ewlementary school had a NES. He got frustrated and threw the controller at the wall. (the old rectangular carpal-tunnel killers.) It LEFT A DENT in the wall, and was not even scratched!

nintendo products are known for their durability.
i sold my DS for a psp.
and il probably buy another DS.
but aslong as there's a golden sun, or a fire emblem out there. the GBA:micro will sell.
il just get one for when i dont want people to huddle over me and stare at my psp, or try and rob me. inconspicuosly in the back of the class.
why the heck not.
and il make sure to get a NES controller skin too.

I hope not, in a fit I lobbed my N64 controller at the wall and it bounced off, left a dent! I plugged it back in and it still works!shelter pitfall wrote:How sturdy is this new game boy? Can I chuck it at a wall and it will survive?
Oh, thanks Nintendo, for a Backlit GBA, so I can buy this and consolize my original GBA. I like the look of these, I hope they are popular (why doesn't someone put the guts in a NES controller! It looks the same size! We can really have GBA NES edition then!)

Somebody please buy my Dreamcast >_> £20+shipping

Here are some possibly leaked GBE specs:
Doesn't sound like the micro at all.* The working title is "Game Boy Evolution".
* The system will have a flip-top design, similar to the GBA SP.
* Games will come on mini-discs, as opposed to cartridges.
* The graphics will be slightly better than those found on the Sega Dreamcast.
* Bluetooth wireless networking will be built in.
* The system will feature backwards compatibility, but not in the same way the GBA plays old Game Boy games. Supposedly there will be a device that will allow you to download games from their carts into a harddrive-like element of the new Game Boy.
* The system's screen will be lit, similar to the GBA SP.

It is cool that its small but i still probably wont buy it. With the DS and PSP, non 3D portable gaming will get dull. And also the GBA isnt quite what you might call a "classic" system, not many people will buy it.
