Disclaimer: I wish you weren't joking. Both Microsoft and Sony can bite the big one, and leave Nintendo to make better stuff.

You have NO IDEA what the system will be like. I'm sorry, but you sound like a system loyalty whore right now.
Also, if people don't like the controllers, I have no doubt the the people of this forum have the mad modding skills needed to put PS3 controller guts inside a PS/PS2 controller case. That is assuming that the controller CAN'T be held properly

Warranty-Voiding fun!
Here are my predictions:
PS3 will end up beating Xbox 360 because of A. Xbox360's name (it really makes no sense, and consumers will notice that) and B. the PS3 is more powerful. Combine this with the games for PS3 and you have an answer. I believe the only reason Xbox was up with PS2 was because it came out a year later and thus had better graphics. If PS3 brings out something like what was showcased in the new Killzone movie, it will blow the next incarnation of Halo away. That's just my prediction - kind of like how PS1 killed Saturn, and PS2 pushed out Dreamcast. Of course, MS has a lot more money than Sega did, so I guess MS may just pump money into a lagging console to keep it alive. Sigh.
It seems that Nintendo is actually going the way of the DS - making games for the masses and not competing directly with Sony or MS. I think this is a great strategic direction because the console war between Sony and MS is alienating a lot of consumers and developers. Can you imagine the development costs of games that will be on PS3 or Xbox360? Think 7-8 figures. And does everyone want to play FPSs? No. Halo 2 may have sold 2.5+ million copies in quick order, but there are many more gamers out there. I don't even have a PS2 or Xbox, I'm 21, and I already feel alienated. So Nintendo's direction is not stupid; it may even win this whole thing if they capture more markets than Sony or MS.

yeah the ps3 is going to have great games right?sure they will timmy! just like to old ps2 titles like... MOSTLY GRAPHICS! and no game play 3, or over hyped and limmited controlls 4, and sonys pet project jak5 (ewww!) yeah i'm buying the PS3 for the same reason every one bouth the PS2 because its a crappy DVD player and the games suck... (i still play my snes because no curent console has what it takes.)
and with the new controlls sonys new Increadibly Hard to playstation will be a huge hit! (boomerang style hit, the kind that comes back and hits you too)
