I don't know anyone with a Wii that doesn't want that game. It's gonna be freaking awesome!

What? I thought Gears Of War's story line was awesome. Remember that theirs still two more Gears Of War coming out. Don't be so quick to judge when you haven't even played the game.

Good luck trying to get SSBB nightwheel. I already decided that I'm getting up the moment any video game store opens and buying the game the second the doors open.

But what usually lasts longer/has better replay value? Multiplayer does. A good story is nice, but after a couple weeks, its over. My friend plays Halo 2 on Xbox live, and has played 8955 games and gotten 60214 kills (dang, he really does have no life). I doubt many people have played through Metroid Prime's story an equivalent amount of times.

look at halo 1, didnt have very good multiplayer, but the single player was extremely well done, which led to the success of the halo2 , and probably 3.

This seems like it could be the new Gameplay or graphics saga :P Single player or multi

Actually, the single player is largely overlooked by my friends and I, the only time we play the campaign is when theres just two of us and we don't feel like one of us getting pwned all the time. And Halo 1, while it didn't have online capabilities, could system link and have 16 people playing multiplayer. I personally get bored of single player now (really, its hard for me to play single player on any game), but you get ~8 people playing Halo 2 at someones house, now that is fun.

I have to disagree on that one with regards to Halo. The original sold in huge amounts and had no multiplayer element other than being able to play through the story co-op. It had no online functionality.

Halo 2 built on that foundation and is of course known for it's multiplayer element, but it all started with the original sans online.

No soup on that one. Ben built it for somebody and it was out the door shortly after the article went up. I don't think we have even looked at the Wii code to be quite honest.

You are probably right that this is the killer app for the Wii based on past sales anyway. Other than that though there is pretty much nothing of importance coming out other than the new Mario anyway. Neither of them appeal to me, but I can appreciate that they do appeal to a sgement of the population. :)

I'll be crying, hammering my hands to the window of the local video game store while dramatically screaming "MOTHER!!!!!" the night before the day SSBB gets released. Or I'll get a chip, and just get the american version early

I took a look at the site... I guess I just don't understand the allure of these games. Then again I haven't really been into fighting games in a decade or so. Maybe I'll break Melee out one of these days and give it another try.

It looks like the sticker stuff could be interesting, but otherwise it only has 15 confirmed characters so far. At least that's what the site makes it look like. I don't know. It just doesn't do anything for me, but I'm glad other's are excited. :D

There's nothing quite like getting all geeked up for a game and then finally getting your hands on it. When that game delivers the goods it's like Nirvana.

I have become quite stoked for BioShock over the last couple of days. Lucky for me I only have to wait a week to get it! :D

I thought this was really only an issue for really old games where static backgrounds and playing fields were really common.

Didn't they stop putting that warning on games since about the 32-bit era?
