sweet! I want to do stuff! You already did the power supply though, that's too bad. I don't have much experience with the software stuff, but I've done plenty in the way of electronics...and if this thing goes until december then I'll have experience using the TI DSP chips, if that will help at all.
What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.

no offence fanboy or iam7805 but i think fanboys controller design is horrible, it looks cool and all but it would pretty much SUCK to use, its over-complicated and looks really non ergonomic. simple and comfortable are best

Yeah, Triton's right. Have you ever tried to play your Gamcube controller upside down? It's very uncomfortable.

This is to all the people saying they can't use he blackbox name

IT DOESN'T MATTER (unless they plan to lisence and sell the booger)

Now About my design...I Think I could have done better, The Backside Is what I reallylike up to the CD and power buttons The front seems kinda lame...but I ran out of vision :P

Also I tried to cram everything Into one controller (so that we wouldn't lose anything)

Also I am wondering Can we get a few more details on the specs of this machine and where you go the design inspiration?

Well, I was going to post my new controller design, but I think we've already found a winner! :P

Well, incase you guys wanted to see it then here it is:

Also, i'm thinking that if we go with XPCs design then Fanboy's controller will just be a lightgun. As in lightgun is the primary function, and then it has a built in controller just for convienince, but that doens't mean you have to use it.

I got It! mix my console idea with XPC's Controller (make 'em match)

ORRRRRRR......

Think Black Box right?
Ok Black Plexiglass with the Black box logo laser etched on the inside
Have a top that opens to place the cd and cartridge (the cartridge will go down far enough to be concealed by the top)

But when you turn it on....the laser ethed logo will light up with the case! Selectable color Leds and the like it would be awesome (any controller design will match as long as its black) Wireless controllers would be ideal...

Think of how awesome that would be (kinda like a Zen thing)

quick question about that, wouldn't having the d-pad above the buttons make it really hard to use the d-pad and the buttons at the same time?

The thing is you don't usually use the D-Pad. Think N64.

Perhaps you should work on making the hardware of the system first.

Y'no, before deciding how pretty the controllers will look?
