The bathroom scale is probably too inaccurate but I'd guess this thing is about 2 pounds. Usually my portables are about 1 lb, so this seems heavy.
We have a "tradition" around here of having "sh***y movie night" so we can toast it a la MST3K and that's where the copy of Van Helsing came from (It was a double feature along with Island of Dr. Moreau) The price that rental stores want nowadays it's almost eaiser to spend $10 on a used DVD!
Well, I'd better go out and snap a "daylight" photo of the thing... even though the sun hasn't shined here in I crap-you-not 2 weeks!
