Current Revolution Downloadable Game List!
Moderator: Moderators
I'm thinking that you'll have to BUY the downloader software for each console (NES, SNES, 64 etc...) and it will have the software to download games from that console only. So pay $50 once and you get to play any NES/SNES/N64 game you like (No not all in one, you will probably have to buy the disc for every system.) whenever you like. (The NES one will prolly have a Light Gun option, and if you don't get it the first time with the software, you can buy it later.) Then... it might be free and you'll only need to get a Zapper. Wait and see.
There are so many game that should be there I decided to start A list
Final Fantasy 3
Chrono Trigger
Mega Man X
Darius Twins
Secret of Mana
Battletoads In Battlemaniacs
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles In Time
Theme Park
SimCity 2000
Contra
Earthworm Jim
Earthworm Jim 2
Harvest Moon 64
The Lost Vikings
Most of these are for the SNES
any one have any more games they think should be on the list?

hmm...I'm surprised that they're listing Disk Drive titles.
Also, I really hope it's free, and if not hoping that it's something like $0.02 a game or something (and if that they better allow you to redownload the game after you buy it since the revolution has limited storage (unless of course they allow you to fill up memory cards with the games
))

Um, did no one read what I said? They won't be making all the old games available. And they won't be free. That list was from someone's mis-translation from a Famitsu article. Nintendo will be either charging for the games they make available, and/or will just include them as bonuses in new games.

No they didn't. I have the video. Iwata never said all the games would be available to download. Nor did he say they would be free. People just assumed that for some reason.totokan wrote:Nintendo said (i think during e3) any first-party games that they make avalible for DL will be free. (from NES, SNES N64, etc.)

There's some disappointing news for those expecting these classics to be available for free. Nintendo is planning on pay downloads as being the standard for this download system. There will be many types of services, though, including limited time free downloads. One possibility mentioned by Iwata is free downloads as bonuses for buying new games.

the games people want to have on the list arnt even liscenced by nintendo (FF3, Crono Trigger, Megaman, TMNT, Earthworm Jim) so why are so many people complaining about that fact..
besides if you want to play the original games.. buy the original games.. most people here have a wack of the older systems (of couse, not all of them working if you're like me) anyway.. and i know people here enjoy the old systems or else they wouldnt want to make them portable..
