Does anyone remember what type of resistor I'm supposed to use in the led mod?

You need a resistor for each led.
http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
That site will help you determine the value resistor for each led.

Do you mean what ohm ? If so it differs for every led you use.
If size then a 1/4 or 1/2 watt is fine.

This is my favorite site for calculating what resistor I need:
http://ledcalc.com/ " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It's easy, simple, and to the point. Like hailrazer said, wire all the LEDs in parallel but place a resistor on each one. Typical values are around 10 to 30 ohms. On both of the sites that hailrazer and I posted, click the ? buttons to see suggestions for what values to put in if you don't know your specs like forward voltage or current.

I'm using the same LED's as you are Brian so whatever ohm resistor you use.
I tried using that calculator and it's suggesting 120 ohm resistors
I've also ordered some different batteries... Lithium Polymer, with circuit, charger
I'm not sure if they fit, I really just bought them because they were super cheap. If they don't fit in this portable I'll use them on my WVI xbox360 project.

120 ohm is probably right. I needed 80 ohm on my mod and it was correct.

I looked in my bag and it was 30ohm I used last time.
I tried using googone to remove the super glue but that didn't work.
New idea... I hotglued screen to mobo for stability...

Just mounted screen in the lid.
You can see super glue desecration...
there's only half an inch inside so everything is nice and tight. I had to dremel the sidewalls just so everything would fit.
Could I use the 5v from there screen to power the Dreamcast?
