I have a little video of it in action too. The new one I'm going to make is going to use switching regulators only. Making much less heat thus keeping it more stable.

Tchay I hope you have read that I have already made a working custom regulator for the gamecube running of 7.4v!! check my custom regulator/correct draw topic in the stickies.

Re: Tchay's and Zenloc's breakthrough in Gamecube portablizing
Ah my bad! I guess I thought that was "unfinished." If I wanted at least 3 hours batt life, would the 7.4v regulator be better? If my math is right, I would be needing like 3 decent sized batteries to have enough capacity. But if the batteries are small because it is only 7.4v then maybe that would allow for a smaller portable? hmmmzenloc wrote:Tchay I hope you have read that I have already made a working custom regulator for the gamecube running of 7.4v!! check my custom regulator/correct draw topic in the stickies.

If you check my thread you'll see a rough comparison of battery life with powering it from 7.4v, 14.8v and 11.1v.
7.4v would use about 3A just for the cube itself. So small battery's doesn't always mean smaller. Unless you can find one that has an enormes amount fo amps and still stay small.
