Just got mine. Already want to change the d-pad on the system controller. The wireless ones are fantastic! Much better than what I was expecting.

Yes this is all fantastic stuff! Ordered mine already. not even here yet and already got plans for a bigger screen. Is there a spot on the board that can possibly connect to external controller ports? Im excited for wireless but I'm wondering if the option of original controllers is even at all possible.

Really nice.
I order one, but the most of my games are PAL. Anyone know how to quit the region block?

Regards.

Simple. Look at this image:

You see the solder blob in front of the TCT-976 chip(the writing is backwards)? Simply move that blob over to the other side of the jumper, and the FC16 Go will run in PAL. The question is: will the screen support the PAL video signal? Also, will the video be output in black & white or color(I know for sure on the FC Twin and RetroDuo, which use the same chipset, the video is in full color when used in PAL)?

But in order to get FULL compatibility with EVERY PAL game, along with that, you would need to desolder a lockout chip off a crappy PAL game and solder it onto the empty solder spot next to the TCT-975 chip. You would also need to move the solder on the two jumpers next to the big white connector on the white and add a 2.2uF electrolytic capacitor somewhere around there. I have a lockout chip added to my FC Twin, so I'll check to see where the capacitor should be hooked up.

That's a problem. I don't own an FC16 Go(portables take a while to show up in my area), so I can't really give you a good picture guide for what you should do to get the FC16 Go fully PAL-compatible. If Hailrazer doesn't mind me using his pictures and editing them in Paint to show the mod areas to get the FC16 Go working with PAL games, I'll make use of that.

Thanks Hailrazer. 8)

Here's the image detailing the mod spots(click to enlarge): Image

I still have yet to determine where the 2.2uF capacitor is supposed to be soldered onto this thing, but when I do, I'll let you know. Once these mods are performed, you'll have a fully PAL-compatible FC16 Go. But don't forget to break the tabs in the cartridge slot. I don't know why Yobo keeps putting those stupid tabs in their consoles.

Okay, I've figured out where the 2.2uF capacitor is supposed to be soldered. On the lockout chip's solder spot, you have to solder the 2.2uF capacitor between the pin closest to the edge of the motherboard(first pin from the right at the bottom of the board) and Ground. The positive leg of the capacitor goes on that pin(which would be pin 16 on the lockout chip), and the negative goes to Ground.

Hey, first time poster here.
I do not own a Yobo FC16 myself, so does any of you guys know if there is some kind of way to mod the wireless controllers so they're compatible with the "real" snes/snes mini?

Thanks.

well there is definitely SOME way, but it would probably not be easy at all. I can almost guarantee you that you'd have to work with microcontrollers to accomplish this.
