Here are the pictures of the Marquee that arrive in the mail today. I think it turned out really good. I still need to add a piece of trim above it, but apart from that its pretty much done.
This project looks really good. Its got that touch of professionalism that is missing from many of the projects on this site. It really is quite stunning.
Nice job, good "cool" factor. I can imagine it would be fun to play in bursts. Lots of space in there to house many other systems too, including an old PC to run MAME, dedicated - hack apart a USB keypad for the computer and wire the contacts to your digital joystick and buttons so you can use them in MAME.
I really like this idea of the retro duo as an arcade.I'm going to start building an original nintendo arcade cab in a few weeks (just have to save a little for supplys) and I own a retro duo as well.thinking of doing this for now, then maybe down the road put a pc in the cab.I just had a question about the controller, did you just use the retro duo controller or the original snes cotroller and wire it to arcade style buttons?
you have inspired me to build one of these.. i just picked up a new duo and some games for it today.. anyone know of the best place for me to order some sticks and buttons? i really like how the select and start buttons were done on this too.. id like to try and do the same... thanks
