That's just a rumour.

Time for me to spread rumour. What I've heard is that they've placed a RAM area at that section, making the DSi directly compatible with the old version of the browser.

Yeah, dual touchscreen's would not be that great on a DS lite... Try pretending the DS lite has a touch screen on top. The hinge just isn't strong enough. I feel like I'm going to break it if I touch the top screen with a stylus.

No, the DSi does not have dual touch screens. I was just saying how weird it would be if it did.

It plays music - but not mp3s.... how stupid is that?

And I don't remember seeing anything about it playing movies, which is a waste, especially with the bigger screens.

The browser is built in, which is great, and it is supposed to run faster as well. It's still Opera, though. So, meh...

The dropped GBA Slot isn't a shocker, really. I mean the DS and the Micro dropped GBO/GBC support, it makes sense that they'd drop GBA slot with the newest DS.

I really like the cameras. I hope that the outer one is 3.0 MP and not 0.3 MP. Different reports / sites say different things, so I don't know which it is. If the outer one is only 0.3 MP - then it's pretty pointless.

No accelerometer sucks, too. That would have been a good answer to the iPhone's new game library.

I hope that there is some sort of Virtual Console for GBO/GBC/GBA games. NES/SNES/Genesis games would be awesome too.

I destroyed a dead SNES once to see what is inside - with a hammer - does that count as console hacking?

Well, Opera's always been the de facto choice for mobile browsers, so I'm not complaining. I liked it on my pocket PC, and it worked well on my original DS. The latter part, they'll totally do it. It's actually a reason I won't be importing it, as the download service is probably country-native. :(

I read that it does play MP3s. what did you read that it played instead? OGG or FLAK? if so, those are better formats that mp3 anyways.

I kinda agree with you about better formats than mp3, but everybody uses mp3 and who the hell wants to convert their music?

Apparently it only plays AAC's. Probably down to the fact Nintendo would have to pay a licence to get it to play MP3's.

usually I would have crapped my pants knowing about a new nintendo system but this doesent really exciteme all that much. Photos? well okay kind of cool but its not really nintendos style. NO GBA? Oh well I supose we'll have to move on *sniff, sniff*. the only really appealing thing to me is internal memory and sd card slot. Overall I dont think ill buy it, My ds Fat is still working beautifully. :D

sounds insteresting, but also crappy, no mp3 support (I´m sure there will be third party homebrew media players wich run mp3 after a few time the system be relased) and gameboy cartridge killing is bad too.

how about the batteries? they Improved the max play time? or the system die faster?

touch screen is always great, but I think nintendo also can consider adding any kind of small joystick (like Psp small joystick) for some platforms and adventure games for run/walk and 360º free movement.

(sorry for the following offtopic, but I didnt found any other efective way for do this)

The camera is pretty good, I tried it out at this electronics store by my house but I couldn't really figure out how many mega pixels it is because everything was in Japanese.
