How to make a laptop hinge (screw?)

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

These are called "friction hinges" for the sake of Googling... but, good luck, and let me know if you find any good ones for a decent price that you don't have to buy in bulk; they're not easy to find any time I look for them. :roll:

Oh, and here... this may be helpful if you're attempting to design your own.

You can hack a PSone screen and take the hinges.

McMaster-Carr carriers some friction hinges. Part number 1791A44 might be what your looking for.
