Same thing happened to me with vodka. For the longest time after, I couldn't even get a whif of it or I'd want to barf. I can drink it now again, but I've learned my lesson. I don't drink to the point of puking anymore. It ruins the night if you do.Kurt_ wrote:I used to love rum. It's all I would drink, and I'd down it straight. When it comes to drinking, I'm rather hypocritical. I don't support it at all. I don't like to see others drinking.

meh. i don't know. i mainly don't drink because i try to keep as un-toxic as possible to my body. but i don't refuse a drink when offered. it's mostly social with me, especially since i'm not old enough. but there are some days when i'm like "holy crap, i am SO freaking sick of writing papers and studying for tests" and i just wanna relax. you know?
Actually marijuana smoke isn't bad for your lungs, believe it or not, and the brain affects are temporary. Over time though marijuana is bad because you become psychologically dependent, and then you FEEL you need weed for things, and since you really think you need it, you do. But weed isn't physically addictive at all.

On topic: I don't drink. I don't even like any kind of soda/pop/whatever you feel like calling it. Milk, 100% juice (real juice), and water ftw!

Yeah! I had a Bertie Bott's pepper-flavored jelly bean and I couldn't smell/taste pepper for a year without wanting to barf.lifeisbetterwithketchup wrote:That happened to my uncle with Pepsi! Drinker. I've been somewhat muddle-headed a few times over the years, but I've never truly been drunk. I enjoy the taste too much to abuse it to the point where I don't enjoy myself.
As for the drinking age, I've been ignoring it and undermining all my life. I'll happily buy for underagers, but if they don't abide by my rules, I won't. They can't go out in public, if there's a parent around, they have to know what's going on, and I limit how much I'll buy them. I figure if I teach them to enjoy themselves responsibly, they're less likely to cause trouble on the day they turn legal.

It wasn't the taste that bothered me, it was just my body completely rejected it. It's strange but also amazing how your body tries to prevent things that don't belong from getting into your body.lifeisbetterwithketchup wrote:khaag wrote:Same thing happened to me with vodka.
