A handful of people on these forums have attempted that, and to my knowledge all have given up. It's a lot of trouble, and money invested when buying a laptop is just easier and cheaper. Damn iam7805, I didn't think that laptop was that old I though it at least had USB 1.1, and a PII cpu. That things kind of old.
Because you're so dependent on a Parallel port for this computer are you going to be building a switch to allow you to move to a different device when you need one? I know it'd be easier to build a switch if you have three or more things that need that port.
