So which one? SNES, NES, or Genesis?
NOTE: I can easily access all 3 consoles, and someone near buy sells the Super Joy's, so NOAC's can be got.
wow...if your mom won't let you build this then i'll laugh at you...
honestly dude, you don't need her permission to build something so incredibly NOT dangerous...just build it and surprise her

The first system I had was a SNES so thats probaly what I'm gonna do. As for you, you should pick whichever one you like most. Portabilizinating the Genesis would be a waste, considering that you can just buy the Nomad.....

NES: connector wears out and needs replaced.
SNES: Needs special screwdriver bit to remove casing, can be remedied by using hammer and breaking the case...CAREFULLY!
Genesis: Power hog for early models, compatability issures with newer Genesis 3 and Redica.
I pick the SNES.
Warranty-Voiding fun!

i would say Genesis would be good becouse if you can get a Radica and a cart-port, it could be a small portable couse the Genesis carts are small

u dont NEED a special screwdriver... my n64 had those weird screws... i just melted the back of a ballpoint pen and stuck it in and waited for it to dry... when u pull it out it has a mold... (a little tip for anybody who tries... dont use a roundstick white pen... use one of those crystal ones... the clear kind... without a coloured top that coloured plastic is too rubbery)

Why can't you do something like this? It's not dangerous.

Sure it is you could hold the soldering iron on the wrong end or even shock yourself with electricity, nothing big.

You could almost gouge your eye out with wire. That wouldn't be good. If you could even make that happen.
hmmm...
"I'm awesome!"
yes, that will do.
