why does nintendo use such horrible screws?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

thanks now I can pull that sucker apart. Just as long as my parents let me melt a pen.
Gamecube is underestimated and playstation 2 should help kill xbox, allowing Nintendo to steal Halo and make it VR on the Revolution. Can you handle a virtual flood army?

that post must have been deleted or something. I'm not on a crusade to get you banned or anything, and I don't know why anyone would. The guest probably didn't get what you could do with a melted pen.

I think it's so you can't repair the system yourself, so you have to send it to them and pay them to repair it.

see, it's better to do this stuff when your in collage or out of the house, that way you have more time to do this stuff.

that also explains why many people i know overclock their computers. w00t!

im only in grade 8 =P, melting pens is fun, even if for no use... but don't try to set the eraser on the back of ur pencil on fire... it works but it doesnt smell very nice =P

i think the easiest way to do it is just to buy a nintendo screwdriver, find it on google

or, i forgot who sed this but they sed to melt the tip of a screwdriver and shove it in, that seems logical =P (though how would you melt it???)

Wow, brain storm, if you guys have a lot of time on your hands...

1. Get clay
2. put it in the screw slot
3. put in oven, make it hard
4. dip it into that metal thats malluable until you like heat it up or something.
and your done, or if your in tech and got extra time, make a screwdriver out of wood.
I'm the man, if you don't think so, you're wrong.

The problem with clay is that it shrinks quite a bit :(

Dremel tools work wonders :P. I just grinded small slots into the sides of the screw heads so that I could unscrew them with pliers without completely destroying the head. In some cases the grinding bit caught right and spun the screw right out :D.
