Can Pop make you drunk?

No, we can drink pop(ya, I'm Mormon). Caffine is just kind of discouraged.

Ecstasy shuts down the part of the brain that measures the levels of water in the blood and so your blood gets to dulute, or to concentrated, and you die.

You can actually drink to much. if you drink loads then you will reach a point where the amount of water passing into your blood is more than being filtered out by your kidneys and if you kept drinking for ages then you could die.

well if you really want to get drunk by pop, you'll first need to get EXTREMLY fat because of the sugar. Soda is fine but if you drink 100 cans at a time you're looking at big obesity

Everyone, extacy can make you so thirsty and you keep drinking untill you die. There is also a rare disease wich makes you keep drinking water or other liquids untill you die. Happened to an 89 yearold woman, and it can also happen if you do extacy, wich is why my friend thomas only smokes marajuana...

As for drinking too much, you don't want to. Carbonated water will build up a lot of gas (or carbon-dioxid) and that can cause intestinal or stomach acks. I know not deadly but can be painful.

I'm mormOn and we don't think that you can be intoxicated by pop as a matter of fact I went to a 24 hour gaming party and drank 30 cans in 10 hours you don't get drunk you get sick

you are all wrong!

soft drinks during the production proccess fement slightly due to sugar being present! this fermentation causes soft drinks (Ie. coke) to have an alchahol content of about 0.05%. However this is nearly impossible to get drunk off as such a small amount gets absorbed safely.

No if *O*'s right, it's possible

. .05% could mean after 20 it's 1% and after 2000 it's 100%!!! So I think you must drink 2000 cans before you get drunk... though I'm probably wrong but I'm semi-almost correct...

Yeast or no other sugar metabolising agents are present in the drinks. if there was yeast in them then yes they could be alcoholic but they arent.

No, then 2000 cans = 1 can alcoholic beverage

So it'd take a few more thousand.

No, that means 2000 cans = 1 can of pure alcoholic solution. Probably enough to make you drunk plus the rapid absorbtion of alcohol into your body would blind, and possibly, kill you.

acually, ethanol (that is, normal 'drunk' alcohol) will never blind you. it will indeed kill you if you take too much though.

methanol (wood alcohol) is the kind that blinds you. it is usually present where ethanol is (along with trace amounts a whole bunch of other alcohols), but youd die of ethanol poisioning well before you went blind.

anecdotally, i head once that aspartame (artificial sweetener) is metabolised into methanol, among a few other things. of course, youd have to eat a LOT of it to go blind.
