During the summer I paint houses with my dad - this summer I painted a HUGE HOUSE - the paint job cost them over $16,000! Good for us :) BTW, the client was Mr. Parkinson - he is in fact the British president of this company http://www.xenotechllc.com/about_xenotech/default.asp

Cool eh?
I mow lawns too ;)

I uh...assist a children's choir for 3 hours each monday night. I get paid a whopping 6 bucks an hour. Ah well, I suppose I should be thankful for getting paid as I would probably still help out with the choir as a volunteer.

Odd jobs would be where you should probably be looking, mowing grass and the such. untill you anre 16 it will be hard to get a job, and your first job will be the hardest to obtain because you don't have any previous employment. Also depends on zoning regulations how old the work requirements for certain townships (as with my job I got at 16 but the same store one township over I would have had to be 17) but if you try for McDonalds they hire anyone pretty much, but you probably will hate that job.
So the old man down the street who needs his leaves raked is a good place to start.

I wasn't going to post anything in here, but after reading all of your posts, I must say the following... you all make me feel old :) Really though, I wish I would have found something like this to do when I was younger. I look forward to learning a few things from you all!

...maybe I can be a 'senior citizen member' :D Just for the record, I'm only 25 years old, but I get the feeling that I might be one of the older people on here.

edit: oh yeah... job... I work as a computer programmer. our main office is in washington, but I get to work from home (www.timbersoft.com if anyone cares :))

You know about subway, I use the train/subway of NYC to get to school. So I have to transfer to the 2 train at Grand Central to get there, but then I sometimes eat at the Subway at that station. Pretty ironic. :)
