The whole power thing

Post by SonicJ »

O.k here is the deal.A few day ago I found out you can make a n64 portable.( so yes that makes me a noob).now to get to the point I bought
3 cases(the little battery holders)that can hold 4 batterys.Then I found out that every one else used a battery pack that can hold 8 batterys.will two of my 4 battery holder work inplace of the one 8 battery holder?
And can some one give me some kind of diaigram on how to setup up the power of the n64?

From what I've read (i've been lurking for a while), most use battery holders that hold 4. In fact that's how I'm doing things, It is functionally the same as a single 8aa holder, you just have to run an extra wire between the two. (so they are wired in series)
Here's a diagram:

Code: Select all

12v Ground      12v positive
  -             +
  |             |
  |   (wire)    |
  -  +=======-  +
 |XXXX|     |XXXX|
 |XXXX|     |XXXX|
  ----       ----
