Could this be run off a 4.5 v dc adapter or would it be too much voltage and fry it?

the nus-001 i believe, or something of that sort... nus- something something 1... heard they take up to 5v like previously mentioned, i believe if yu look behind the cart slot theres a bit of mobo with a stamp that says nus-***

i was told nus-001 go up to 5v. Buy a regulator(or resistor?) to get to right voltage

couldnt 2 AAs work for the 3.3v with the 2 7.2v radioshack 3000mah batteries

actually, 3 rechargeable AAs would be best if you want a separate battery source for the 3.3v line...I'm pretty sure most N64s can handle 3.6v...I'm not sure, though, so if it frys, don't blame me
!!!
btw, 2 AAs would do the trick as well, but they wouldn't last long and the sound/picture would be a bit screwed up

Like I mentioned in another thread, an LM117 or LM317 would be best. I am going to order some samples in a few weeks.
