Best Game Movie

If you could choose one game to be made into a movie (and it was done well unlike other game to movie conversions *cough* Tomb Raider) what would it be. I agree with Ben and say that a CastleVania movie would be a good choice.

I'd say castlevania would be great, although I think a metal gear movie would be great also. I also think that both of these movies would apeal to most of the movie viewing community, whether they be fans of the games or not.

I'm placing my vote for the Street Fighter movies (so you know the animated one).

As for making a new game based, I think Ben has a great idea in the Castlevanina SOTN. It already has everything you'd want in a movie; violance, blood, demons/vampires, and a lil romance every now and then (not too much).

I also remember the Wing Commander movie. But personally I like the WC4 game as the clips were like movies and the part of Blair was *drum roll* Mark Hammal!

Gannon I totally agree with you that they should make a Metal Gear movie also, it's actually my first choice, but I just didn't want to sound incredibly biased to Metal Gear (though I am) by posting two topics and favoring it on each one.

a metroid movie is going to be made. If I remember right, Jon Woo is directing it.

AFIAK he only bought the rights to it. That doesn't necessarily mean it will be made.

Lets not forget that as it stands all movies based on a comic book or video game have been less then impresive, I was just pissed when I saw the Resident Evil trailor they only kept the very foundation nothing more.

If a video game is going to be made into a movie we all know that a hollywood writer shouldnt be aloud to even spell check the script as it seems they ruin everything.

I can't totally agree with you on that Sparkfist some comic books have been translated into good movies, both the Spider-man and X men movies have been done quite well. I didn't feel the Hulk or Dare Devil really hit the mark. Although I do agree that the RE movie wasn't done too well. I think what is ruining videogame movies is that they stray from the storyline of the game and leave out memerable bosses, locations, and even main characters.

lol. In other words, they just use the game as a marketing tool to lure in the the 13-25 male demographic to a movie that otherwise wouldn't have sold diddly.

Definitely a Castlevania, and it better not be cheesy like most video game movies. A Black Thorne movie would be great as well. And of course Zelda!!!

man that would be nice... it would great for any one who liked the game but didnt think much for the movie... and at the same time be great for the people who dont like the game but love the movie!
