I have a few questions about powering a n64p
1.What is the best type of battery to use?
2.Is it possible to make/buy a battery recharger that i can use while the batterys are in the n64p and play at the same time?where can I get one?
3.whats the best way to wire the batterys?

Wouldn't parallel be better? You would use less power...right? Or maybe that's different for batteries.
EDIT: Wait, now I remember! If you wire batteries in parallel you only use enough power to overcome the resistance, so you would have a longer battery life! (Thank you ohm's law)

2 problems with parallel. The voltage with 1.2V Ni-MH batteries in parallel would be 1.2V, unless you ran lines of batteries in series. Also, runing batteries in parallel is dangerous, especially with rechargables.
The best bateries to use depend on your own opinion. It depends whether you want small size or battery life. Li-Ion batteries are generally small, and if you search around, you can find them with good capacities. They come in voltage units of 3.6V. Ni-Cad are old, but still not too bad. Ni-MH is their greater equivilent. They come in units of 1.2V. Alkalines usually have higher capacities than Ni-MH, and are in units of 1.5V, meaning you need less batteries. They aren't rechargeable though, so you spend a fortune on batteries. RC batteries are usually 7.2V and have fairly high capacities. Your choice.
