Your Views On Music Leaked Early?
I'm kind of mixed. Its kind of unfortunate when it happens, but I decided to download the new Oasis album (Don't Believe The Truth) when it leaked a few months ago. Your opinion?
PS360Wii Fanboy FTW!
being libertarian socialist, i don't think anyone should have to pay for anything, really.
but as long as we're stuck in a capitalist society, let's steal from the rich and give to the poor.

There's a thing called a COPYRIGHT. It means the holder of said copyright is the ONLY entity (person/corporation/etc.) with the legal right to market and sell whatever is described in the copyright.
Aside from being illegal, downloading music is basically stealing the music from the musicians. Despite what you may think, downloading ANYONE'S music does not support them. They see absolutely no money from the process.
If you've just got to hear that new hip crap song, at least get an iTunes account and buy the song that you want. That way the artist is actually getting paid for the service they are rendering you, their music.
Unless, of course, you believe that some pigs are more equal than others.

Current Status: Single and Portableless.
Oh, those musicians are around still. They either walk downtown streets with a hat out for money, or they have another job.
Music IS NEVER and SHOULD NEVER be played for money. However, when someone truly enjoys their art and has a shot at supporting themselves with what they love, they should not be shot down by a bunch of greedy kids that think everything should be handed to them on a silver platter.
Lars was right.

You guys are a bunch of capitalist pigs.
Screw laws, screw copyrights, and screw the record labels. If you want music, get it however you want. If you want to be a good person, send a couple dollars to the band that made the album after you download the music.
