Damn Radioshack

Post by x24 »

Radioshack is now gone in canada.. bought by curcuitcity.. they're forced to remove everything on the shelves with radioshack's name on it so the component area in every store in town is empty.. and i checked CC's website to ssee if they'd be selling similar parts and they're more like bestbuy where they just sell electronics..

anyone else in canada have any suggestions on where to buy needed parts.. besides online.. for people who are "stupid" with credit cards

Radioshack in the USA sucks. The employees are incompotent, there's almost no component parts left, and tthey are quickly becoming bizarro-The Shaper Image.

Gone are the days where you could walk in and buy the right parts to build a radio (THEY DON'T EVEN STOCK SPEAKERS ANYMORE!! WTFF?)

or a computer that cheats at roulette.

I guess the general public is becoming too stupid or lazy to build something themselves. (benheck forum people are not the general public to me. I'm talking about the Lebbittown, yuppie, suburbia people with a big house, a big car, and a big debt.)

I'm ranting a lot today.

And a notice to everyone: It's "a lot" not "a lot". "a lot" ISN'T A WORD! :)

[/rant, really.]

The radio shack, Circuit City, and Best Buy clerks know not to talk to me cause I know why I am there, and I'm going to know WAY more than they do.

I walked into Rat Shack soaking wet from the rain once, and the sales chick was giving me really f-ed up looks. I walked up to her, asked for help, and blatently instulted her, her I.Q., and how she was dressed while standing right next to the manager... Its just one of those things you should have just been there for to understand.

Damn she was rude.

Nobody bothers to help me at CompUSA, because I always know what I want. I can outsmart the Apple "experts". And it's fun to make the associates look in back for parts that don't exist! Horray for gullibility! :D

I literally had a job offer at Best Buy until they realized I was 13. I don't know how many people I helped because I was bored. The offer is because they came to buy an Atari Flashback for thier kid's birthday (the kid was younger), and I told them about the problems with the Flashback, and they bought a PS2 with 3 games, 2 memory cards, and an extra controller. Made Best Buy $300 there I think.

Me: -explains why the Atari Flashblank is inferior-
Them: This thing is the coolest thing out right now! It is cool because I get commision, I get commision, and its decent commision!

Well, RadioShack in México has no electronic components, they only sell TV's, radios, dvd player´s and things like that.

But there are great stores for the electronic components, such as Steren (may not be known in the US).

the big radio shack in the mall dose not have crap and guy that works there is a jerk (he is always there probubley the manager) but the tiny one next to the tabaco shop is well stocked with usefull stuff and ether has 2 dumb but outherwise nice guys there or an older woman and a yong girl of at least average inteligence though its all a bit over priced but for the conviniance of not haveing to order stuff almost makes it worthwile

I'm lucky. The Rat Shack here has a retired cop who is a Ham Radio Operator and electronics buff. His knowledge has been passed to the younger people to an extent as well. My Rat Shack's integrity has been somewhat preserved. They still stock components, too.
