Without games my life would have no meaning.

I read an article a few months back were one of the CEOs of nintendo hinted that their next system will not be online, as a matter of fact i believe the quote was "people do not want to play games online".
I thought it was the craziest thing i ever heard. If nintendo wants to be succesful they need to go live. The ps3 and xbox 360 are going to be going online hardcore. Sadly I think Nintendo is going to be reduced to just a game developer in a few years. The next nintendo will probably be pink and have no online capabilities and all the game will be cart racers. They make the same mistakes every time. After all who wouldnt want to play a new F-zero or Metroid online with better graphics than they already have.

I don't understand why a the majority of gamers feel a video game needs a gun and realistic blood spatters to be playable.

Same here. I can't remember "press circle-square-triangle-0white-green-cDown-ctrl-alt-del to shoot".
I would much rather play NES games. (Or Atari 2600) Or PSX. Or some PS2 games (racing mostly, Gran Turismo 3, Simpsons Hit and Run, Driv3r.)
