WTB: N64 with a revision 03 or 04 motherboard

Post by limpport »

Looking for a revision 1, 2 or 3 N64. Looking for an N64 with motherboard model NUS-CPU-03 or NUS-CPU-04. I want it so I can hook it up via RGB to a PSone screen. Doesn't need any attachments/cables or anything. As long as it works, and is the correct revision, I'm interested.

You definitely won't find a CPU-01 anywhere, or a -02 for that matter, The earliest commerical revisions are -03 and -04. Those both have RGB capabilities, if that's what you're wanting.

That's exactly it. I thought that the NUS-004's had the spot for the chip in them, but no actual chip...

I've also had 4 different N64's, and they've all been NUS-001's. Is that odd?

Nah, that's what they all are. NUS-001 is the model number for the actual system. See here for more info: http://maru-chang.com/hard/nus/english.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

What you're looking for is the model number on the circuit board (ie. NUS-CPU-03). Some NUS-CPU-04's will work, but you have to check which chips they have.
Check out my FS/T thread!
