depends if you use the heat sinks that came with the n64 yes if you have PLENTY of room then maybe if you are using the zn45
Stock heat sinks: yes fan needed
not stock heat sinks: no fan needed

Well actually.

Stock heatsink blocks with aluminum heatsink cover --- No fan needed.
Not stock heatsinks -- Maybe , depends on how closed off the case is and how good the heatsink is.

N64
Ps1 or zenith screen
7.4v 4700mah battery(Still need to figure out wiring)
A controller or 2(What should I use, I am thinking of using a PS1 controller and one of those 3rd party Mako Pad N64 controller's, what do you think?)- Controllers used in Bacteria's tutorials
A Soldering Iron
Dremel
Solder
Wire
I am pretty sure It calls for using those Tac Switches? (For Controller buttons like the D-Pad, and etc.)- That is unless there is an easier better way?
Sand Paper
ZN-45 case
Other switches and buttons not quite sure what kinds (Will also need help for on/off switch on the portable along with volume control)

Also about the Cartridge relocation should I do the one following bacteria's tutorials or the one on Hailrazer's Kamakazi?

That is all I can think of right now... Can anyone think of anything else. I will also need help with headphone Jack and other accessories, like what will I need for those and how to I wire them. Also copper probably for Heat Sinks unless I need a fan too, but I am not quite sure? Thanks for the help and let me know what I missed and If there are any easier solutions to any of this?

This is what the project should look like overall. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMxw2XGz ... re=related" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

-Thanks :D

hmm, best way eh? i suppose it really depends on how you want it mounted. im assuming you want the cart on the back of your portable, facing out (like most ZN-45 n64ps). in that case, you probably want to use either a short piece of IDE or high gauge hookup wire. above 22 gauge works best, in my experience. below that and its too stout. cant move it into place without breaking your solder joints, which is a massive pain in the ass.

as for mounting controls, it depends. are you gonna cut up a controller and bondo the plastic in? or are you just gonna make button holes?

Thats probably the way I would do it by cutting holes for the joystick, d-pad, start, c-buttons and the A and B buttons. I just need a tutorial if I used a Mako Pad or a Hori Mini pad with a PS1 controller for triggers or possibly the triggers from the Malo/Hori Pads. Is there any tutorials that show you how to cut up the controllers and attach and wire them so they work. :D Also I want to relocate like in this http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php ... 4&start=45" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is there tutorials on that way?

Sorry for the double post. I found batteries at this site http://www.batteryspace.com/highpowerpo ... arate.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and I just wanted to know if they are safe? Some people say these things blow up or something if they have a short or if you over charger or under charge? Also do I need 2 of the 3.7v batteries or 1? Thanks for the help and check out my project log which will start soon! JT-64 http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=37227" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
