Controller Compatibility Question

Post by popfan97 »

Would this controller clone have the potentiometer needed to be able to replace it with a gamecube joystick?:

I'd hope that the insides would fit in an official controller, as I have a broken purple controller that still has a good case...

probably not. If it is a nintendo made controller it isn't compatible. That one you linked to looks like an official controller so it won't work.

They are clone controllers most likely made by the same company who makes the clone Gamecube controllers I reviewed.

Might have normal pots in it and might be a drop in replacement parts wise for the N64 Official controller. Worth looking into.

I know for sure that it's not official, as it doesn't have any labels on it. Just a blank box (I can see it from the pictures). I guess I'll have to go with the Retro-Bit option afterall. Is the Retro-Bit controller comfortable? It would be nice if someone could take this chance though. It has a return policy at the least.
