solder them back on? lol

replace the crappy ribbon cable with some nice IDE cable, or just bypass the parts all together.

Maybe, but not JUST the ribbons broke, about 5 minutes after that post I tried to fix them, whoops, off with the cart connector. I might try another clone.

P.S. Some cases from OKW Enclosures came today!

i hope you dont mind, but i had to laugh when you said the cart connector fell off, is it really that crappily put together?!

No, this project is not dead, I'm tight on funding. I have the case, so thats an update I guess...
PIC OF THE CASE!

Its pretty nice to hold, and can for sure fit a 2.5 in screen, maybe a 3 in.
