n64 powering

n64 powering
ive seen the entire wiring diagram for the n64 and power and for the screen but how can i power the portabe off of just ac power. is there a diagram and do i still have to use the pth8000?

You usually use a power adaptor that outputs a similar voltage to your battery and switch between it and your battery using a DPDT switch. For example for my N64p I used a 12V wall wart because that was close enough to my 11.1V batteries. The power regulators take care of the rest. You still need the 3.3V regulator but it works just that same as if you were using batteries.

okay so i can use a 12v wall wart and hook it up exactly the same way as the diagram showing the batteries then i can add the battery later of the switch that alters between wall and battery? and can i use a 9v wall wart?

Just remember that if your battery is 7.2V then you probably haven't put a regulator on the power for your screen. If you haven't a 9 or 12V wall wart will explode it.
