If you touched metal and the hear a zap noise that means static electricity fried the board. There is no way to fix that.

I have never built or seen a NES board so, there might be a fuse you can bypass. I am quessing not though it would have been on the charger.

I think you can look into sleeping. Let it sit without turning it on or off for a 4 days to 2 weeks and try turning it on.

A fuse in the power adapter isnt going to help with a fried board..

If anything the fuse would be on the NES board.

The company that made the NES isn't going to put a fuse on the board there is no point. They would put what ever they needed into the power adapter to make sure nothing happened.

This goes for the N64 there was no fuse on the board. Everything was put into the power adapter becasue thats where the power was coming from. So, if anything went wrong the power adapter would be the only thing damaged.

Its hard to tell from your picture. Look at all of the components and the silk screened labelson your NES, if theres a fuse on the board, it will most likely be labeled F1, F2 etc.

That also explains why the n64s can fry at the drop of a hat.

I havent cracked open a regular snes, but I know that on a Mini snes, one of the first few components the power goes through is a fuse.. I also believe that there are fuses on the PSOne as well. In some cases, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a fuse in both the power supply and and game system.

Yes, the PSone screen has fuses labeled PS1, and PS2, which are located at the bottom of the PSone screen board. I don't know why they are not labeled F1 and F2. I have never opened a NES board so, there might be a chance of it having a fuse. I would pm someone that has made a NES portable or do what schmellyfart said and look for F1 and F2 labeled on the Circuit board.

I don't remember there ever being a fuse on the NES board. Check your power connector on the board. It might be corroded.

Yes, I came back just to answer that. (I also answered a PM, but lets ignore that)
