It uses a not so cheap relay to do it automagicaly as far as I can tell. Looks to be around $15-$20 if you already have the xbox and dvd dongle, but it does get a quite a few cool points too.

The switch works base on whether something is plugged into the xbox or not. So if a controller or other peripheral is plugged in then the usb/whatever goes dead. I recommend going with all USB and one DVD dongle (if you need it) and grab a USB to PS/2 Keyboard and mouse adapter (about 10$). I wouldn't wire in the moust/keyboard simply because you don't know when you will need a mouse/keyboard and when you want but will be dying for a third/fourth USB.

Was reading another post and found something that might help for reducing size/open up some space.

add that to the 200W picopsu and you have considerably reduced the size of your PSU area. From there you can add water cooling unit or whatever...
