And your point is? You didn't post anything at all, except that the bootmii is out.

NOTHING can stop it? I find that pretty hard to believe. Nintendo could always issue a cease and desist and sue the crap out of the people who created it. Then start releasing firmware updates. That'd stop a lot.

Nintendo hasn't been good since the N64 IMO. I dunno why they keep trying to stop homebrew and stuff like this, because that's half the reason people buy their products.

Did you actually research, as he said, or did you just decide that whatever feeble knowledge of console homebrew you have was enough to post on? It may come as a surprise to you, but most of the time when people make statements like "Nintendo can never break it", they actually have a factual basis to say so.

Basically, this is an extremely low level hack, somewhat akin to an ipod touch jailbreak, that is down at the bootloader level, or the PSP service mode, which is at a hardware level. Nintendo does not C&D homebrew projects, nor does Apple, because there is no legal basis whatsoever (You should know this, HDC, you claim to be studying law and all that jazz). Even if the project died, there is essentially nothing Nintendo can do to stop this.

@XCVG: I bet that less than 1% of Wii owners bought it for homebrew. In fact, I bet less than 1% even USE homebrew. ;)

EDIT: Lulz, Ben says no selling modchips on his site because he hates them and all, but:
