This is why you're fat....

Post by Spyder12587 »

So my friend sent me a link to this site called This is Why You're Fat and I started looking at some of the stuff. Now is it just me, or does some of that stuff actually look/sound kinda good? Not all of it, mind you, but there are a few things on there that I would glady eat, others you couldn't pay me to.

EDIT: the title is not meant to offend, I apologize if it upsets anyone.

The deep fried pepperoni pizza did sound pretty tasty. I also thought the bacon wrapped mozzarella sticks sounded pretty good...

LMAO! I am fat, but I wouldn't touch 99% of that stuff. It just kinda squicks me out. I can't even eat omlettes or breakfast sandwiches because I don't like mixing foods.

I could definitely use a few of those recipes to get out of cooking for potlucks, though.

Why the hate for the Twinkie-Weiner Sandwich? While I hate Twinkies, I love Weird Al who invented it, so why the hate for the food? And who comes up with the name of McGangBang for a sandwich?

In all honesty, I've gotten through about 5 pages and I'm laughing the entire way, this is an epic find. I'm finding everything to either be deep fried, be made into a cake when it shouldn't be, have 5 pounds of meat, or be infused with bacon, all of which make me laugh for no apparent reason.

EDIT: Can anyone tell me why I can never get quotes or images to display correctly? It's really beginning to bug me :x :x

How about quadruple-stuff Oreos? Take two Double-stuff Oreos and take one cookie off each, then mash them together. That way you get tons of Oreo frosting, and you can say you only had 3 cookies while (theoretically) getting almost 12 times as much sugar as one regular Oreo! (As a side note, I wish they sold Oreo frosting separately, because that stuff's awesome.)

There are lots of things you can do with frozen dinners that are both delicious and artery-clogging, for example...

Salisbury Steakburger

Get a Swanson or Banquet frozen salisbury steak and microwave it as the directions tell you. When it's done, put it in a hamburger bun with whatever fixings you want. (I use ketchup, mustard, relish, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, some Penzey's 'sandwich sprinkle' seasoning, and a tiny bit of thousand island dressing.) If you don't want to let the gravy go to waste, fry up some frozen French fries, put the gravy on them, add shredded mozarella and make pseudo-poutine.

Filet o' Frozen Fish

Get a Swanson frozen fish filet meal (or frozen fish filets; in that case I recommend Vann de Kamp), microwave by the directions. Put in a hamburger bun, add tartar sauce. (If you don't have any, make some with mayo and relish. Add a little onion powder.)

Bacon Burger-Dog

Make a hot dog. Add a strip of bacon (cut in half and put one half on each side). Add some ground beef.

I don't even know what to call this

Mix some cooked ground beef, a lot of onion, and some Manwich sauce in a bowl. (It should be pretty thick with onions and meat.) Season with some chili powder. Make hot dogs. Add the beef/onion/Manwich sauce on top. I know a place that makes great hot dogs, and this is sort of close. (To get the full effect, wrap 2 at a time in wax paper, squish them together a bit, and put them in a brown paper lunch bag with plastic utensils and a paper napkin.) The bun should soak up the greasy Manwich and beef juices.

That was hysterical but for some odd reason Gravy on pizza sounds good...
I haven't been here in awhile, and looking back it's one of the worst ideas I ever had. I'm back and I'll be here for awhile, I was quite active 1 year ago and I hope to become that again.

Hahaha, that's what happened to me too. I was looking at the site and then I had to go heat up some leftover ham from Easter dinner...

Some of that stuff looks tasty, some nasty, some somewhere in between. I wouldn't eat more than a bite of any of it.
