Okay, here's what I've found. It seems as though 1220 is the most common. A Googled for Npfa70, I found this:

1220:

12200:

Also, if you Google for Npfa70 1220, you'll get 32 results. If you Google for Npfa70 12200, you'll get 22 results. Sorry, looks like it's 1220 mAh. But, your best way of finding out is probably to look on the battery itself. Chances are, that's the most accurate one. But, there is a chance that the label's a misprint as well. So, the only REAL way to find out, is to measure it. :(

Feh. You can never trust those customer support people. (Unless it's Belkin. :D ) You know how they found that info? They searched their OWN site. I still don't believe it. Typos, typos, and more typos.

Hi, my name is Brent. How may I help you?
Unknown: I have a question about your NP-FA70 camcorder battery.
Unknown: I see that it says it's rated at 12200mAh.
Brent: Please go ahead with your inquiry.
Unknown: But that seems a bit high, and I've seen conflicting reports around the net that say it's 1220mAh.
Unknown: MOST say it's 1220mAh, in fact.
Brent: Please give me a moment while I check this information.
Brent: I appreciate your patience. Please stay online while I verify this information.
Unknown: Yep yep. With DSL, that should be no problem...
Unknown: If I may ask, how are you checking for this information?
Unknown: Do you have access to one of the actual batteries?
Unknown: Or do you have to find it in a database?
Brent: I checked the information in our data base. It is a site error.
Brent: The correct value id 1220mAH.
Unknown: That's what I thought.
Unknown: A typo.
Brent: Are you on the product page at Sony Style?
Unknown: Yes.
Brent: Would you like me to stay online while you place the order or can you take it from here?
Unknown: I'm sorry, but I probably won't actually be buying this.
Unknown: I'm doing this for a friend.
Brent: Okay.
Unknown: If you care to know, I'm "Electric Rain" on this page: http://benheck.com/v-web/bulletin/bb/vi ... c&start=15
Unknown: That is why I needed this information.
Unknown: Thank you for your help, please pass this info on to the webmaster so the typo can be fixed. That will be all.
Brent: Sure.
Brent: Thank you for visiting SonyStyle.com. Please feel free to contact us for further assistance.
Brent: disconnected

I literally got to the very core of the information. Their database. There's no WAY that can be wrong.

Yeah, that would be quite awesome. But you would need to look to gel-cells for that guess.

Also, no. They probably will never get it fixed. Even though I told him to pass it on to the webmaster. "Sure" he says. Oh, right. THAT'S a convincing response...

Post by sanityisoverrated »

u gotta love tech surport whoever said he was reading off the site is true. I don't know much about comptuers but a salesperson for the cable company called my mom to get cable modem. Well she has no idea what the guy saying so she gives me phone. He is reading basicly what they send in the mail because when i was making up words he never went Excuse me do u have any idea what your talking about. it was more like

" exactly, the taco standard router multiplexiton ttl 798 embargo series works great with this service. That is why u need it."

oh and the speeds he was giving me where insane. 256Mega Bytes a second
up AND down

first it normaly kb up and i think it is
bits not bytes , and 3MB down [still don;t know if it B or b]

there at bits in one byte so it is really a 32KB when u have a 256kb

that make sense to anyone??? or am i wrong?
------------
anyways these "surpport" people half the time know nothing about anything.
