Re making it smaller, it was already small and feature-packed compared to the dedicated home consoles that were on the market then. The main reason it was so big was, it was originally going to have built-in stereo speakers - if you have a 6-switch unit, you can see the openings for the speakers by looking at the slots in the case top from the back side (later they patched the mold to close them).tootiecat wrote:way back when they should have made the atari a little bit smaller and be able to hook up to other ataris.
