Or did someone who actually has money to buy one want to place the bid and have them at their house?

I wonder if my little brother's school has some they'd be willing to sell. He said they used to have them with educational games but this year the school is switching to laptops. My thought is that since they'll have laptops, they will probably put the games on there or something similar, making the PSOne's no longer necessary. I'll keep you posted on what I find out about this.
As for the bid amount. Not sure, it's hard to get everyone who is interested to respond. I'm sure if you bought them, they'd be easy enough to sell on this site and I'm definitely in for one (about $20, probably $25 shipped to me). Do you have the money to cover them and just want the money repaid? Or are you wanting the money, then bidding?

We have about 24h left and things are still a little vague.
Say the auction goes up to $120 for 6 screens, people who had a maximum of $20 will not get their unit but instead a 2nd unit goes to one of the people who put up a higher max bid than $30?
And the bid we place will be 6 times the minimum bid given here?
Situation summary:
This means our current maximum bid is 6x $20 = $120.
What happens when the bid goes over $120? Logically it would follow that the ones who have a bid of over $20 would buy up all the screens. This seems a bit overkill to me, especially if that's just me, but the other option of one paying more than the others isn't viable either imho.
I'd suggest (if I may,) that Valium and lifeisbetterwithketchup raise their maximum bid, if even slightly, as I think $120 is pretty likely to be reached for this auction. That would make things a little complicated. Also I would strongly suggest that palmertech, spyder12587 and techknott give us their maximum bid quickly. If not, this basically ends up as a risk-free eBay auction with only the benefits for them which may be unfair towards the people who specified their actual bids.
I'll have a pm sent out to palmertech, spyder12587, lifeisbetterwithketchup and techknott to speed things up a little.

Agreed with Valium, I thought we were going to try and split them as many ways as possible. $20/person/screen and if there were leftovers, extras could be bought for another $20 (this is all without shipping if Dr. Killgood is going to dole them out to everyone once the bidding ends).
I can do $20 (+$5 for bidder to ship to me) but that's it, I'm on a tight budget right now.

Yeah, but if there's 6 people all willing to pay $20 it should go to those people (or the 6 ones who posted first I suppose). However, if we don't get 6 people who want a screen, you'd put in another $20 for an extra screen, basically substituting the 6th man by someone who's already in.Valium wrote:I thought we were paying $40 for 2 screens, $20 apiece.
Edit: maybe the listing is a little confusing. It's not that I'd pay $50 for 4 screens ($13 per screen) if you guys would pay $20 per screen
It's just listing your maximum bid, and the maximum ammount of units you'd be willing to buy. So basically, you (Valium) are willing to put in $20, but if there's only 5 for 6 screens you'd be willing to put in another $20 for the 6th screen. Hope it's clear.

That makes more sense now, the chart just confused me a little.zzattack wrote:Yeah, but if there's 6 people all willing to pay $20 it should go to those people (or the 6 ones who posted first I suppose). My max bid is $20 per screen. Any screens that no one else wants, I will buy, but so far it doesn't look like we'll have any problems finding homes for em.

I'm willing to back off (seems more fair to only get one), so my new "bid" is $30 for 1. Willing to buy two though, if nobody wants one.

Our max is 120. Once the bid goes over $120, palmertech (1x) and Valium (2x) don't pay at all, and spyder12587 (1x) / lifeisbetterwithketchup (1x) / myself (4x it seems..) pay $25 per unit.Dr. KillGood wrote:Ok so the max is like 120-150?
It is up to 107
If the bid goes over $150 we quit (unless techknott puts in his maximum bid first).
