PS2 Controller Help

Post by (D)P(M)ortables »

Hey everyone! While working on a project I had to take apart a PS2 Dualshock 2 Controller. However after doing what I needed to for a proof of concept test, both controllers I was using went a little wonky. When I plug them into the ps2, I can press buttons in any game yet the sticks won't work. Any suggestions on how to solve this? Please post!

Yup, the light is on and everything works fine but the sticks.

How much did you take it apart? Did you desolder the sticks?

No I didn't need to desolder the sticks. In fact I didn't even touch them! I just did a proof of concept test to try and make another controller's buttons work with a different PS2 controller. Although that was a success, I find it strange that the sticks won't work.
