well if anything, SEGA should enter the portable race once again. Nintendo DS and PSP are eh... I mean, there hasn't been a 3d final fantasy game that's been portable yet... Also imagine playing Sonic Adventure 2 on a portable? (besides dknap's portable)

that right there is proof enough that it's fake. Apple is still on the 2GHz G5, and that's the PC equivelent of ~3.2GHz. 4 GHz would be like 6.4GHz

Also sponge, 4GHz G5 can mean dual 2.0 , atari, nintendo, and microsoft lie about their consoles, sega has before too, so I'd say its a dual 2.0. And another thing, they sell dual 2.5 powermacs too now, so 2.0's might get cheaper making it all the more possible.

Errr... no, it's fake. First, they'd be using the Sega Sammy Holdings logo.
Second, let's analyze the use of Blu-Ray. Blu-Ray = Sony. It's unlikely Sega would be like "Oh yes, let us make a new system that requires us to pay royalties to our competitors!"
Second, Sammy has never merged with Apple Computers. This would've been big news, and they cannot keep such mergers secret. That is illegal.
Third, "Power Base Convertor II" actually existed as another model of the Genesis Power Base Convertor. I doubt Sega would make such a mistake about their own products.
Do you think that Sega would waste time and effort on creating a new system that has support for a bunch of old games that they found unprofitable enough to kill the systems prematurely?
And why would SquareEnix join Sega this time, when they haven't touched them for... ummm... the entire Sega console history?
As said before, it does say "a 4GHz G5 processor" <- if we can read English, we understand that "a" is an identifier for a single(!) item. Plus, the mockup just looks like someone stuck a Sega and Apple logo on some picture of an MD copier or some crap. For something due in 2 months for display, they'd have a better mockup than that.
In short, you've all been hosed.

I just found it odd that they said Sega and Apple merged. If this were to be an April fools joke its really bad. You want to make it believable say this.

Toned down and a hell of a lot more beleivable, if the person that made the pic could use Photoshop/Gimp then on April 1 I'm sure a lot of people would have been shocked... and fooled.
