I don't need the case anyway, I'll make one custom, or "bondo" a genuine sega one with the case.

[Edit]
Just to say that I killed my mobo .. I rewired the gd-rom unit perfectly, but once I tested it, I diN,t glued it right away and everything broked, so I resolder everything and I cut a trace on the mobo by accident ...
So I ordered another mobo and I'll not rewire the gd-rom unit on this first DCp, maybe that If i DO a rev2 it'l be rewired .. ( a slim version

Sorry for the double post
But I got good news !!
I finally received my 3.5th Dreamcast and rewired all the mods I,ve done on the previous on it (region changer, reset button, composite-out-to-psone-screen, 12v powering DC and psone screen and heatsink fan and doublefanned regulator cooling) It tooks me 5 hours to do it the first time, and 5 minutes to do it this time ... (including soldering gun heating up)
This shows how practice help !
The wooden cast is "gluing" (dunno wich verb really fit there) and should be sanded and formed soon. The unit is gonna be 11"x5.5" aprox.
To thoses who might be interested, I got 2 extra DC psu, 2 extra cases, an extra controller pcb, 2 genuine power cords, a genuine audio/video out plug and an extra gdrom unit all in perfect working order (beside a scratch on one of the cases), I can also do any mod you want from cdrw-able switch to OC DC(don't works on every unit) and Nes/Snes/whatever pad host.
All of this is to sell or to order (at a fair price) to get founds for my DCp, batteries are expensive and the picoPSU too
If you're interested, pm me.
THank you and I'll keep you updated ! no picture of my desk this time since my camera broke and it's like the last time ...
THank you !

Sounds good, I'm really getting excited as to how it's looking. I love to see how any of the Dreamcast projects develop, probably because there a so few.
Also FYI, the verb to use to describe the wood form would be drying or curing.

hmm i might know someone who would be interested in the gd rom and i might as well actually. how much for? Im really excited about this project and if all goes well when this is done it might be good inspiration to ditch my n64p and make a dcp. Because we all know JSR can kick Zelda´s ass anyday

I plan to finish it in 2 months, because I stil got school and that It's the first time I bondo a case, so it might be long, I'm now wondering wich color I should paint the case once finished(wanna give it a mat finish for durability of the look).
Here's the check list :
I didn't bought the batteries because I'm waiting for a bargain, and also because for now, it'd be useless since I power it from the wall (GC adapter 12v)
I'm going to run it off AA or C batteries, because I got so much room in the case and theses batteires are kinda cheap (ni-mh 2600mah)
If you have ideas to add of battery ideas or bargain. please tell me !
I'm planning on selling it once I finished and enjoyed it some weeks, the price wouldn't be low thought since I've put a lot of money and time in this hoby-ish modification.
Thank you !
Sorry no pics for now, my camera ran out of batteries.

Well, it depend how much it'd cost once done. But since the psone screen had been bought new and the picopsu was expensive too, and don't forget the Dreamcast itself, the heatsink fan, and the tons of hours passed on it, I'm REALLY not going to give it for "peanuts" And the baterries are gonna be expensive too.dudex77 wrote:Name your price, if it looks nice ill probably want to buy it.
I might also sell it on ebay,it depends how much ppl offers me.
Thank you !

Do not sell it on ebay. From what i would guess is people would only be willing to pay maybe 100 bucks for it since theyre dumb. Has anyone here sold a portable on ebay and gotten real money for it?
