HELP Damn thing just died!
So I was testing my PSone to see if it worked. So I hooked up the required things, power video and cd lid button. I put in metal gear solid, great game, and the beginning movie started playing, I had sound I had video, and now nothing. I must of just looked at it wrong or something because while sitting there half taken apart, it just stopped. Now it wont turn on, wont spin up the disc, nothing. The little green led doesnt even come on. Checking everything out with my trusty multimeter everything is getting power, but its still not working. This is where the help is needed. HELP!
I guess i didnt explain well enough. The PSone was completely taken apart. Board was by itself with the controller slot, power plug, av plug, all sitting in a box. Then i wanted to test it out to check on how my soldering was going. so i soldered the power plug back on and then connected everything else. I must have done it right, because it work when i tested it with MGS. But then in the middle of the movie it just died. Wont do anything now. Just dead. So now i have a PSone that is in pieces and that doesnt work, rough start to a portable.

Alright I'll start from the beginning. Looking online on day I thought that I should be like ben. Bah bah bah. I bought the book read through it and went out and picked up a PSone. The person I bought it from said that it worked so I didnt question it. After opening it up I proceeded in removing all the different parts as the book explains. With everything off and ready to move on to the other parts of my portable, i realized that i really never tested the system out. So i connected the yellow power input with some wires back to the board, reconnected the cd drive and then put the av back into place. Now doing all this the system was now functional, in pieces but functional. I hooked it up to a tv and put in a game, MGS. It started up with sound and video, hurray my PSone really did work. But then it just stopped. I was sitting and watching the movie, i didnt even touch it. During the movie it just cut out and now nothing works. I used a multimeter to check to see if the different parts were getting power and they were. But nothing is working. The green LED doesnt come on the disc doesnt spin up, i dont get any sound or video, its like a fuse is blown or something. Hope the is explained a little better
There's a small 7805 voltage regulator on the left side of the PSOne motherboard:

If you measure voltage between the teal blue and the green pins, you should get about 7.5v.
If you measure voltage between the yellow and the green pins, you should get about 5v.
If either of these voltages are off, tell us here.
