Well forst the PS had no fan, the first verson lacked air vents so it over heated unless turned upside-down. PS2 "Massive" heatsink. The PSP, if its going to have compasities that surpass the PS2 it will have to have a fan. My Laptop a Toshiba Satllite Pro has a small 1x1 inch fan in the back, granted its only operating at 166mh but I doubt that givin 7 years for a laptop and 4 for the PS2 you can reduce the heat emissions that much.

And has anyone found anything I asked for in my last post, I'd like to know how much info Sony's release to the public.

Take a look at the new x800 from ATI. The core is faster but the fan is smaller than its predecessor.

Here's an interesting little update on the PSP.

Kaz Hirai, the CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment of America, has pinned down battery life of the PSP while playing games to, "about two and a half, three hours". Here's the interview:

He has a point. Other than maybe posting something we may have already known, I don't really see anything wrong in this case...

The circicly thingy underneath the D-Pad is the touch-senestive analog control, which I read in gamesmaster who had played an imported model from japan, and appearently it is the best Analog device yet!

indeed that grey thing is the analog.
but it is a lot looser than you would've liked it to be.
it doesn't has the feedback that a normal dual shock has...
i just wish you could plug a controller to it

OH btw a cousin of mine imported it so thats how i know.
and yes it kicks ass. even like that i prefer the DS.
can't believe i've finished contra 3...
now i need a new purpose on life...
ok lets go to final fantasy 3

I have both systems (:D) and I have to say both are awesome.......the analog stick is great, IMHO, although they could've positioned it better........ with the amount of sh....aving cream :P they put in there I guess it'd be hard to put it anywhere else.
I love how you can put movies onto the memory stick too :). too bad I only have a 64 mb one though . I think it would be possible to put a movie on the 64 mb one, however, even though the quality would really, realy, REALLY suck ;).....
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Two things

One, ok we know at soonest the PSP will be released March.

Secondly, we have already gone over the entire thing. That quote of me was back in June.

I would like to comment on this since I have played it and have friends who have it and such.
First off to confirm what the guy from Mexico said, YES that grey thingy under the D-Pad is the nice little joystick.
Also, the screen is relatively well positioned despite its size (this is opinion that is shared by my friends and myself here). The screen has great quality for being a portable, but the price tag kinda made that one.
The UMD disk is NOTHING like a minidisk. It is based ON minidisk technology but with so many new feautures that it is nothing like it. There is (at the present moment) no way to use a minidisk in the PSP unless you wrote something on it and then ripped apart the case to take out the disk inside of the minidisk. Even at that I think the UMD is still slightly bigger so compatability seems to be zero (that and isnt a minidisk a small harddrive basically?).
Also, I looked but could not find a fan on the PSP so I am fairly certain that it is a fanless cooling system. It never got really warm when I was using it so that is a bonus.
And I would like to say that the graphics are great for a small decently stylish (I liked to concept pics that had the PSP case with something more like carbon fiber looking stuff than what is now black) little system.
My friends have indeed got video to work on the cards, and if you knew what little perverts they where, you could guess what short movies they are watching.
Also, you can buy a carrying case for the PSP so that it stays nice and safe.
I may buy that and a Japanese modded EvoX Xbox in the near future (or take my girlfriend to a love hotel...choices...darned choices...)
When in Japan with access to just about every system ever made and those that have yet to see international soil, gather your forces, and make the cool ones your own.
