Good luck with that though, I don't believe in ghosts, but maybe you will find something. My mom swears she has a ghost in her room, cuz these cords behind her dresser always bang on the walls and the dresser, and if she says 'stop it' they will stop, but when she tries to go back to sleep they start up again.

Kinda weird.

Anyways, I'm suprised no one has made a Ghost Busters joke yet. Further more, you'll just look like a retard if you use a crappy 7 year-old R2D2 toy to track ghosts. It'll be triggered by the smallest movement, the beeping noises it makes will make you crap your pants, & then you'll chase after nothing with a video camera.

...& what happens when you DO find false-evidence of a "ghost"? Make real-estate agents laugh hysterically? Scare young children? Film a documentary about it? (No offence Ben)

Well, we observe the nature of thought using various medical technologies, and we know those processes of thought break down upon death. Belief in ghosts is just an effect of our overly supersticious human society. The logical question to ask after experiencing a so-called "paranormal" event is "what caused my mind- an incredibly complicated thing- to fabricate these feelings?"

didnt Edison build a machiene that could talk to the dead, lol im sure you could find plans for a device like that all over the internet, well best of luck .. personally i really dont believe in ghosts, or that the edison thing would work .. but hell i bet it would be fun to build.

Lets not forget there isn't any evidence proving ghosts are real or not real so anyone could be right.

I personally think they are real as energy probably not the way you guys think of ghosts tho.

After hearing all these stories over the years and seeing pictures i believe that there are atleast something out there ones energy if u will

The fact that you can hear voices at huge battlefields like the one in the south in usa (i forget what it was ur civil war) and some wierd pictures come out when taken there just makes me think there is something out there.

im with nin on this one, ghosts as portrayed in the movies (rattling chains BOO and all those cliches) do not exist, what MIGHT exist are various unexplained phenomena (EVP, ghostlights and things like that at gettysburgh, ESP and all those other unproven things) may be possible because even modern science has no way to definitivly disprove all of the above

I do not think the mind of a dieing person survives in any way after death. Modern science has a very good understanding of what happens to the brain upon death. However, I'm sure there are things out there which might be called ghosts. We haven't even come close to explaining all there is to explain, yet.

Triton has hit the nail on the head i don't believe there is shuch thing as boo ghost and all that

I do believe that there is energy left behind and the person could actually be alive who knows what happens after we die our energy could move to another plane of exsistance.

There is also proof that there could be beings of energy so being able to keep the memories and oyur personality through energy is actually quite possible.

But as i said no1 knows for sure the body might be dead but u don't know if there is more to humans than just the body which could live on we just can't detect it.

This is just like a religion discussion. People won't change there opinions even if they are given inordinately conclusive or powerful evidence to the contrary. I could go on for hours about what we know about the human mind, and it wouldn't make any difference at all, would it?

I do admit that the idea of an afterlife is appealing, but it is highly improbable; it is the more complex alternative.

i at least am not talking about human memories and personality persisting after death, yes the brain might die but do we really know much about human conciousness and stuff works? and i am talking for the most part about other various phenomena like poltergeist (no not an angry ghost, a manifestation of energy that can interact with objects around it,not nesicarilly connectd to people) ghost lights ball lightning "electric people" and things like that, if i can remember it i will post a link with some interesting stuff
