Ok, I got a Yobo NOAC but I have a few questions,
1- Does it have a video amplifier in the part of the board that has the power in and AV out?
2- Can I remove that part to make it smaller?
3- would 4 AA batteries be ok to power it up without a screen or would it fry it?
4- I also noticed there was a power regulator (but not a 7805) on the board I want to remove, do I need to keep it?
5- Is it safe/easy to relocate the cartrige connector?
6- Anybody ever noticed Yobo and Hobo look alike?

1- Does it have a video amplifier in the part of the board that has the power in and AV out? You do not need to amplify the video. It is good how it is.
2- Can I remove that part to make it smaller? You can remove two of the pcbs and just keep the middle one
3- would 4 AA batteries be ok to power it up without a screen or would it fry it?It would fry it. 5v.
4- I also noticed there was a power regulator (but not a 7805) on the board I want to remove, do I need to keep it? If you are using a psone screen or a pocket TV, use the 7805 on that board to power it
5- Is it safe/easy to relocate the cartrige connector? It is pretty easy. My suggestion is to put one wire in at a time. put a wire on one hole, then the corresponding prong on the cartridge slot. That makes it easier to not cross wires at all.
6- Anybody ever noticed Yobo and Hobo look alike? Yes, I am glad I am not the only one
Other notes: If you use just the middle pcb, do not input power where it was orginally since it was routed through the other. Put the Power on the VCC hole on the row of pins that went to the controller port board. You can hardwire those controller ports to the main board. Just use the first one. The capacitor on the audio line is cool to bypass. Just use the 7805 on the screen. If you are using a hipgear, desloder the 7805 that came with it and connect power directly through it to the main board and power the hipgear with it and take off the audio amp board and LED mod the screen. Those are enough notes for you?
